We're looking to overhaul our website, currently Wordpress-based, to reflect the following - - redirect the focus for branding purposes (eg. most visitors think we're a restaurant but don't realise what else we do - we want the focus to be about the person behind the brand, and the business activities/events to follow from that - eg. estore, farmers' markets, frozen meals, cooking videos, recipes, blogs etc.) - capture more subscribers for our newsletter and social media accounts. Essentially, unless you have other suggestions, we're looking for a new (Wordpress?) template to change the layout and make the website a more effective marketing tool; (it may mean having a tab/page that shows thumbnails of our cooking videos rather than just a link to our YouTube page for instance) that also looks funky and professional and appeal to a hip, young, social media-savvy demographic. We need someone with strong graphic design skills - the site's aesthetics are very important. The Wordpress install on the server will also need to be updated to the current version as part of the work. Please send examples of past work. ------------------------------------------ Added 14 APR 2013, 8:49 AM EDT Having seen the portfolios of many web design companies (too generic), an alternative I'm considering is if I get my own graphic designer to do a mock-up of the look and layout (inc. colour scheme, fonts etc.) and for the web design company to code from scratch based on our requirements and quote on that alone ie. please quote based on if we provide the design, you do the coding. This is still ongoing at this stage, and I am not going to settle on a contractor until the graphic designer has completed her work. ============================================== I've uploaded the zip file containing the work done by my graphic designer.
